Malaysian Foods


NASI KERABU

It is a type of nasi ulam, in which blue-coloured rice is eaten with dried fish or fried chicken, crackers, pickles and other salads. The blue color of the rice comes from the petals of Clitoria ternatea (butterfly-pea) flowers (bunga telang) used in cooking it.

ASAM LAKSA

Laksa is a thick wheat noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish, served in spicy soup. Normally served with  thick rice noodles or thin rice noodles and topped off with petis udang, a thick sweet prawn-shrimp paste. It was listed no. 26 on World's 50 most delicious foods by CNN in 2011.

NASI KANDAR

It is a meal of steamed rice which can be plain or mildly flavored, and served with a variety of curries and side dishes. It includes such as fried chicken, gizzards, curried mutton, cubed beef, fish roe, fried prawns or fried squid.

NASI GORENG AYAM KUNYIT

Nasi Ayam Goreng Kunyi, a real Malaysian staple is the Fried Turmeric Chicken Rice.This is the best dish to make when you crave for something simple yet flavorful.his is the best dish to make when you crave for something simple yet flavorful. Most of the foreigners especially first time visitors prefer this meal above others.

Mee siam

Mee siam, it refers "Siamese noodle" is a dish of thin rice vermicelli, originating from Maritime Southeast Asia, popular in Singapore and Malaysia. it is inspired or adapted from Thai flavours.

Laksa

Laksa is a spicy noodle soup popular in Peranakan cuisine of Southeast Asia. It content thick wheat noodles or rice vermicelli with chicken, prawn or fish, served in spicy soup based on either rich and spicy curry coconut milk or on sour asam (tamarind or gelugur).

Yusheng, Yee Sang or Yuu Sahng

Cantonese-style raw fish salad. It consists of strips of raw fish (sometimes salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments.

Aloo Matar Curry

Aloo Matar is a mouthwatering Indian curry of potato and green peas that tastes delicious when served with bread, chapati or paratha in lunch or dinner. 

AMedu Vada Recipe

Medu vada (ulundu vadai) is a traditional dish from South Indian cuisine served with coconut chutney and Vegetable Sambar as a popular breakfast. It consists urad dal (black gram lentils) and a few basic spices like cumin seeds, black peppercorns, curry leaves and green chillies

CHAR KWAY TEOW

Char kway teow, literally "fried flat noodles", is a popular noodle dish in Malaysia and Singapore. It is made from flat rice noodles.
POPIAH
Popiah (薄饼 / 潤餅) is a Hokkien/Chaozhou-style fresh spring roll common in Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia.

ROTI  CANAI
Roti canai (pronounced "chanai," not "kanai") is a type of flatbread found in Malaysia.  It is a thin bread with a flaky crust, fried on a skillet 


BUBUR CHA CHA

A sweet delicious dessert containing coconut milk, sweet potatoes, yam, red beans and sago. 
SATAY
Satay or sate is a dish consisting of chunks or slices of dice-sized meat (chicken, mutton, beef, pork, fish) grilled on a skewer and served with a spicy peanut sauce.
Yong Tau Foo
Yong tau foo is a Chinese soup dish with Hakka origins containing a varied selection of fish balls, bittergourds, lettuce, ladies fingers, as well as chillis and various other seafood items. Many of these items are stuffed with fish paste.

ASSAM  LAKSA
Laksa is a popular spicy noodle soup from Peranakan culture, which is a merger of Chinese and Malay elements. The noodles are cooked in a hot sour fish based soup and garnished with onion slices, mint leaves and red chilies.


MEE  REBUS
Mee rebus (literally boiled noodles in English) is a Malay inspired noodle dish.
INDIAN BANANA LEAF RICE
In banana leaf rice, white rice is served on a banana leaf with an assortment of vegetables, curried meat or fish, pickles, and/or papadum. It is traditionally eaten  with the hand.

PENANG PRAWN MEE
(Penang) Hokkien Mee Soup is various noodles in a spicy prawn base soup garnished with prawns. 
ROJAK PETIS
Rojak is a fruit and vegetable salad dish commonly found in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia 

CENDOL  A traditional dessert of shaved ice with palm sugar and green jelly-like rice flour strips.


HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE
Hainanese chicken rice is a dish of Chinese origin most commonly associated with Malaysian cuisine or Singapore cuisine.
CHEE CHEONG FUN
A rice noodle roll (also translated as steamed rice roll), basically a Cantonese dish. It is a thin roll made from a wide strip of rice noodles filled with shrimp, pork, beef, vegetables, or other ingredients. 
NASI  LEMAK
Rice steamed in coconut milk and served with hot anchovy or squid sambal, peanuts, boiled or fried egg and cucumber.
Nasi Ambeng 
Nasi Ambeng is an aromatic rice dish that consists of steamed white rice, chicken curry or chicken stewed in soy sauce, fried noodles, Dry Fish, Vegetables etc.
